About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Worker to join our team at KinCare in Mount Gravatt QLD. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly customers, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping, promoting healthy eating and independence.
  • Offer social support and engage customers in lifestyle activities, helping to combat loneliness and isolation.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and medication management, as well as assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
  • Offer respite and emotional support to customers and their families.
  • Transport customers to appointments and provide social support.
  • Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia.

Requirements

  • You must care about assisting our aged community and have a current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle.
  • You should be able to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your Manager for help.
  • You must be available to work at least 3 days - Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
