Key Responsibilities- Develop a Caring Relationship - Establish and maintain a safe, trusting, and nurturing relationship with the young person.
- Meet Day-to-Day Needs - Provide daily care, supervision, and role modeling, working within legislative requirements and LWB initiatives.
- Provide a Nurturing Environment - Create a supportive environment to promote self-efficacy and emotional well-being.
- Facilitate Connections - Facilitate activities that connect the child or young person with their family, community, and culture.
- Support Education and Employment - Support the child or young person to participate in school, vocational training, or employment.
- Advocate for the Young Person - Effectively advocate the views of the young person.
- Participate in Team Meetings - Participate in team meetings, reflective practice, and supervision, debriefing, and various support activities.
- Maintain High-Quality Record Keeping - Maintain accurate and up-to-date record keeping and documentation.
- Meaningful Work - Do work that makes a difference at one of Australia's largest social purpose organizations.

- Probity Checks - Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks, including National Criminal History Record Check and NSW Working with Children Check.
- COVID-19 Vaccination - To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate.
