About the Role

The Every Body Active (EBA) Program is designed to remove barriers for people with disabilities to participate in physical activity. As a Support Officer, you will provide physical and emotional support to clients, focusing on their needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support EBA clients in using our facilities, including the Health Club, Group Fitness classes, and Aquatics/Hydrotherapy
  • Provide personal care (optional) and assistance with mobility transfers
  • Manual handling and other duties as required

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with people of all abilities
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team that champions inclusivity and diversity
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of EBA clients and the program

Skills and Experience

  • Proven leadership experience and achievement of results in the leisure industry and relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Significant experience delivering leisure programs
  • Comprehensive customer service experience
  • Level 2 First Aid with CPR (or willingness to obtain)
  • Manual Handling Training (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Driver's license (desirable)

This position is subject to satisfactory Police Check, Employee Working with Children Check, Pre-employment medical, and proof of right to work in Australia prior to commencement.
