Regional Philanthropy Officer, Individual Donors

About the Role:
The American National Red Cross is seeking a skilled Regional Philanthropy Officer to join our team in the Denver area. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and stewarding individual donors to support our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a regional strategy to engage and retain individual donors, with a focus on the Denver metro area and northern Colorado.
- Work closely with the local fundraising team to identify and solicit donors at the $5,000 level or higher, with a goal of maximizing revenue for the American Red Cross.
- Prepare personalized materials and conduct face-to-face visits and virtual meetings with donors to build relationships and secure support.
- Maintain accurate donor records within our database management tool (Salesforce).
- Participate in disaster relief fundraising projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum five years of sales and/or fundraising experience required.
- Proven experience in developing strategies for donor retention, growth, and recapture, and proven success with complex requests is required.
- A current valid driver's license and a good driving record is required.
- Ability to relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Knowledge of office systems: MS Office preferred and fundraising database systems (e.g., Raiser's Edge, ).
- Ability to work on a team within a collaborative environment and ensure the highest customer service orientation.
- Significant expertise with Denver's funding community highly desirable.
