Job DescriptionThis is a highly strategic role that requires a deep understanding of partner ecosystems, agile partnerships, and effective communication skills. The successful candidate will have experience working in direct promoting or channel sales roles and be able to analyze business performance, identify opportunities, and develop strategies to increase partner and Google returns.
As a Partner Development Manager, you will work closely with internal teams to discuss joint plans with partners and report on all partner business activity. You will also collaborate with Business and Partner Management teams to optimize efforts and ensure alignment.
- Create and own the route-to-market strategy for the segment, fully aligned to the Sales go-to-market strategy.
- Identify the right Google partner for each opportunity from the portfolio of partners, and suggest opportunities for partner-sourced agreements.
- Set the partner business insight for your Sales team, and identify which partners are industry or workload aligned in order to drive demand generation activities with partners through events, campaigns, and an industry-focused plan in coordination with partner marketing.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Business and Partner Management teams to discuss the joint plan with the partner. Report on all partner business activity and work closely with Business and Partner Management teams to optimize efforts and ensure alignment.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, as well as 10 years of experience working with SaaS and cloud computing solutions in a Channel Business/Partner-oriented role. Experience working with public cloud solutions across IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS is also required. Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience presenting to multiple audiences, including leadership and C-suite teams, with excellent communication skills.
