About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fundraising Strategy Manager to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive single giving strategy, focusing on direct mail appeals, gift in wills, and cash donor acquisition programs.

The successful candidate will have experience in multi-channel fundraising, project management, and strategic planning. You will be able to coordinate multiple time-sensitive campaigns, evaluate data to measure performance, and drive successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage integrated fundraising campaigns, including mail and digital channels, to drive income growth and efficiencies.
  • Project manage the creation of all direct mail campaigns, including appeal case studies, copywriting, design, and data preparation.
  • Review and deliver post-campaign evaluation and results-based on objectives, budget, and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with the global head of marketing, fundraising, and communications to develop the strategic direction of direct mail appeals, gift in wills, and donor retention activities.
  • Identify and test new channels for cash acquisition and fundraising growth.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to test, evaluate, and continuously improve supporter journeys and use data-driven insights to maximise acquisition and retention opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers to ensure campaign implementation aligns with approved budgets, timelines, and strategies.
  • Evaluate fundraising programs for compliance with regulations, statutory requirements, and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in marketing or fundraising and/or experience in fundraising direct mail, campaign management, and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated experience working in multi-channel fundraising within single giving portfolios.
  • Proven ability to coordinate fundraising activities and successfully manage end-to-end direct mail campaigns.
  • Strong project management experience with the ability to establish and deliver outcomes on projects within budget and timelines.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Sound understanding of donor communication channels and the ability to coordinate sophisticated, donor-driven content, products, and campaigns.
  • Ability to use and manage CRM and fundraising technology tools, with experience with Blackbaud an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a nonprofit or for-purpose organisation.

What We Offer

A competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and professional development opportunities.
