The Senior Industrial Relations (IR) Partner plays a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's employee relations and industrial practices across Australia and New Zealand.
This strategic position is responsible for leading all IR/ER matters, including EBA negotiations and interpretations, representing the organisation in industrial actions, Fair Work hearings, and disciplinary measures.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Senior IR Partner will lead a diverse range of cases and key IR/ER activities while supporting business stakeholders in managing IR/ER cases. Additionally, this role will provide high-level advice on people matters and support leaders with workplace investigations and case management.
- Maintain the Australian Industrial Relations Framework in collaboration with senior HR personnel
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations by monitoring changes in labour laws, regulations, and related legislation
- Provide timely professional advice on the interpretation and application of industrial and other relevant legislation frameworks to business leaders and HR partners
- Presentation and engagement in Disciplinary Committee matters as required
- Empower and support the HR Operational team to achieve KPIs and service targets surrounding ER/IR matters
- Commitment to maintaining and promoting a safe work environment
- Adherence to national, legal, and organisational regulations, procedures, and expectations
This role contributes to strengthening the understanding of IR processes throughout the business, ensuring accountability among employees.
