Employee Relations Specialist Opportunity

This role offers a unique chance to work as an Employee Relations Specialist, providing support to employees and stakeholders on a range of matters. The successful candidate will partner closely with HR business partners to address employee-related issues and serve as a subject matter expert on employee relations across Australia and New Zealand.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex employee relations cases, including grievances and misconduct investigations, as well as performance management. Previous experience in interpreting and advising on employment laws is also desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing employee relations cases, including disciplinary matters, performance management, and grievances
  • Reviewing and updating policies to ensure compliance and alignment with legislative changes
  • Drafting and reviewing employment documentation
  • Leading workplace investigations for various matters
  • Supporting employee relations project work, including risk management, compliance, and process improvement

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Industrial Relations, Law, or Commerce
  • A track record of experience in HR or Employee Relations within Australia and/or New Zealand
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of employment laws
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to undertake self-directed research and work autonomously
  • Previous experience in employee relations in a common law jurisdiction is desirable
  • Experience or understanding of the NZ employee relations framework would be highly beneficial
