Job Summary

The Front Desk Supervisor is a key member of our Front Office team, responsible for ensuring seamless and efficient guest experiences. As a seasoned hospitality professional, you will lead by example, providing exceptional service and guidance to our front desk team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Services
    • Welcome guests and visitors to the front lobby, recording their information and assigning rooms based on their needs.
    • Provide professional, courteous, timely, and accurate guest service that exceeds expectations.
  • Team Leadership
    • Train new staff members and provide ongoing feedback to ensure they meet hotel standards.
    • Help create a positive, encouraging, and motivating team environment, supporting and coaching team members as needed.
  • Problem-Solving
    • Coordinate solutions quickly when guests experience problems in their room, working with Housekeeping and/or service staff.
    • Serve as the escalation point for guest issues, handling concerns and reacting professionally.
  • Operations
    • Coordinate with management to ensure smooth Front Office operations, problem-solving on the spot when required.
    • Report technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Special Requests
    • Make arrangements for special requests, VIP accommodations, and distribute VIP lists to relevant departments.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience working at a hotel front desk.
  • 1 year of experience working at the supervisory level.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience in Opera is an asset.
  • Responsible problem-solving skills.
  • Keen attention to detail, even under pressure.
  • Organized and able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven leadership skills and a passion for coaching and developing a team.
