Senior Manager, Student Accessibility and Inclusion

Join the University of Wollongong as we seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Student Accessibility and Inclusion to lead our efforts in creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment for all students.
About the RoleThe Senior Manager, Student Accessibility and Inclusion will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote accessibility and inclusion across the university, working closely with faculty members, staff, and students to ensure that all students have equal access to education and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement accessibility plans and policies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Student Accessibility and Inclusion team to ensure effective delivery of services
- Collaborate with faculty members and staff to embed principles of universal design into teaching and learning practices
- Work with students to identify and address barriers to accessibility and inclusion
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders to promote the university's commitment to accessibility and inclusion
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Postgraduate qualifications and/or significant experience in the field of accessibility and inclusion
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Disability Discrimination Act and the Australian Human Rights Commission Act
- Ability to analyze data and develop evidence-based solutions to improve accessibility and inclusion
