As a Student Accessibility and Inclusion Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring that students with disabilities or medical conditions have equal access to education and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized support to students with disabilities or medical conditions, helping them navigate their studies and succeed in higher education.
  • Work closely with faculties and professional units to deliver tailored adjustments and cohort-based interventions, promoting equitable academic success and inclusive practices.
  • Assess barriers, recommend adjustments, and provide specialist support to students, ensuring they have the necessary tools to succeed.
  • Stay up-to-date with contemporary knowledge of challenges faced by students with disabilities and equity groups in higher education, applying relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, and external partners, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as occupational therapy, education, or psychology.
  • At least four years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of disability support and inclusive practices.
  • Contemporary knowledge of challenges faced by students with disabilities and equity groups in higher education.
  • Experience in assessing barriers, recommending adjustments, and providing specialist support to students.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $88,865 - $110,039 (pro rata) + 17% superannuation.
  • A 28 - 35 hour per week appointment, with opportunities for flexible work arrangements.
  • A dynamic and supportive work environment, with a focus on professional development and growth.
