Assistant Principal

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Principal to join our team at Goulburn West Public School. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to the school's ongoing improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of school-wide approaches to student inclusion, wellbeing, attendance, and behaviour management
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to design and deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs
- Provide guidance and support to teachers to improve their practice and student outcomes
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's improvement plan
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community
- Approval to teach infants and/or primary with demonstrated capacity and experience in balancing exemplary classroom practice and coordination of the complex leadership and management role of an Assistant Principal
- Proven ability to lead a dynamic and responsive school-wide approach to student inclusion, wellbeing, attendance, and behaviour management processes
- A proactive leader with demonstrated expertise in leading inclusive curriculum implementation, driven by a focus on evidence-based and data-informed practice
- Highly effective interpersonal skills that support and build upon student engagement to strengthen authentic and collaborative relationships with the whole school community
- Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practice
- Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
- Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents
- Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
