Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Resources Professional to join our team at Symal Shared Services. As an integral member of our HR department, you will play a key role in providing guidance and support on HR matters, driving engagement, and contributing to a thriving workplace.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced HR professional to make a real difference every day. You will provide high-level advice, coaching, and support on a broad range of complex ER/IR issues and practices, offering solutions in line with the company's priorities and in accordance with relevant government policy, legislation, and industrial award.

You will be responsible for planning and leading key processes with the business that form part of the HR lifecycle, including employee onboarding and offboarding, remuneration and benefits reviews, performance management reviews, and talent management. Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting our people and leaders, resolving challenges, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development and delivery of project HR services that align with business needs
  • Support the development of HR strategies, focusing on continuous improvement in line with the company's retention and development plans
  • Plan and lead key processes with the business that form part of the HR lifecycle such as employee onboarding and offboarding, remuneration and benefits reviews, performance management reviews, and talent management
  • Provide high-level advice, coaching, and support on a broad range of complex ER/IR issues and practices, offering solutions in line with the company's priorities and in accordance with relevant government policy, legislation, and industrial award
  • Act as a point of escalation and resolution for HR-related queries, issues, and requests from both internal and external stakeholders
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant HR tertiary qualification or significant experience in a HR Advisory role
  • An understanding of Australian legislative framework, NES, Modern Awards, and EBAs
  • Demonstrated success in delivering generalist HR support and advice at an intermediate level
  • Well-developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working within the construction, manufacturing, or resources industries would be highly regarded
