The Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport seeks an experienced and influential workforce leader to fill the role of Associate Director Talent & Executive Management.
This pivotal position requires a highly skilled HR professional with expertise in talent acquisition, mobility programs, and executive management within the NSW Government. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach, guiding their team while actively contributing to operational processes and strategic projects.
- Oversee talent acquisition, mobility, and executive management across a complex portfolio.
- Manage the department's mobility program, guiding employees through placements and transitions while ensuring alignment with sector policies.
- Provide expert advice on executive employment and remuneration, including approvals, role changes, and governance requirements.
- Drive strategic initiatives such as building future-ready talent pools, introducing assessment centers, and strengthening the capability of hiring managers and internal teams.
- Lead external vendor relationships and support organisational change initiatives with practical, innovative workforce solutions.
- Utilize workforce insights to anticipate challenges and deliver outcomes that strengthen talent across the department.

You bring strong leadership skills, excellent judgement, a collaborative style, deep understanding of the GSE Act, executive employment frameworks, and the ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders.
