Job Summary

The Senior Company Secretary will lead a small team in providing professional corporate secretarial and governance advisory services to the main boards and group subsidiary companies of Montgomery Advisory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and understand the company's responsibilities, strategies, and priorities to provide strategic legal advice.
  • Provide corporate governance services and support to the boards of the company's entities.
  • Work with the Corporate Governance team to undertake a range of legal and governance projects across the group.
  • Liaise and build effective relationships with non-executive directors, executives, and other senior internal business partners and regulators.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of company secretarial experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of the financial services industry and the legal and regulatory regime.
  • Knowledge of the obligations of APRA regulated entities.
  • Excellent understanding of corporate governance issues at both policy and implementation levels.
