Role Overview

This position presents an exceptional opportunity within a prominent financial services organization.

The Senior Company Secretary will oversee a dedicated team that provides expert corporate secretarial and governance advisory services to the principal boards and subsidiary companies within the group. The role also involves collaboration with other members of the Corporate Governance team to execute a variety of legal and governance initiatives across the organization.

It is essential to comprehend the company's obligations, strategies, and priorities in order to deliver strategic and relevant legal counsel.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • tertiary qualifications in law, business, or a related discipline,
  • a minimum of 6 years of experience in company secretarial roles,
  • in-depth knowledge of the financial services sector and the associated legal and regulatory frameworks, including an understanding of the obligations for APRA-regulated entities,
  • strong insights into corporate governance matters at both policy and implementation levels,
  • proven experience in fostering effective relationships with non-executive directors, executives, and other senior internal stakeholders and regulators.
