Job Summary

Montgomery Advisory is seeking a highly experienced Senior Company Secretary to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate Governance team, you will be responsible for providing professional corporate secretarial and governance advisory services to our main boards and group subsidiary companies.

About the Role

The Senior Company Secretary will lead a small team in providing strategic legal advice and support to our boards and executive teams. You will work closely with our General Counsel and Head of Corporate Governance to identify and understand our company's responsibilities, strategies, and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide corporate secretarial services to our main boards and group subsidiary companies
  • Develop and implement effective corporate governance strategies and policies
  • Provide strategic legal advice to our executive teams and boards
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with non-executive directors, executives, and regulators
  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of corporate records and documents

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or a related field
  • Minimum 6 years of company secretarial experience
  • Knowledge and experience of the financial services industry and the legal and regulatory regime
  • Excellent understanding of corporate governance issues
  • Experience in liaising and building effective relationships with senior internal business partners and regulators
