Business Development Executive Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading media monitoring and intelligence company as a Business Development Manager.

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven professional to drive significant revenue growth for our platform.

This role focuses on acquiring new enterprise and government clients via direct approach, navigating complex sales cycles and securing high-value contracts.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the media monitoring and intelligence industry and suite of products, a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and the ability to contribute strategic insights to refine our market approach.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To proactively identify, target, and cultivate new business opportunities within the enterprise sector.
  • To develop and execute targeted outreach strategies to generate new leads and build a robust sales pipeline.
  • To conduct in-depth discovery sessions to understand the complex needs and challenges of prospective clients.
  • To build complex commercial proposals and business cases independently.
  • To manage a complex sales cycle, navigating procurement, legal and multiple decision-makers.
  • To collaborate with internal stakeholders to tailor solutions that meet the customer's needs.
  • To conduct thorough needs analysis to understand client challenges and position our platform as the optimal solution.
  • To build and nurture relationships with senior executives and key stakeholders to foster trust and drive results.
  • To navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and build consensus.
  • To develop compelling proposals that highlight the value proposition of our media monitoring intelligence platform.
  • To represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
  • To exceed individual performance expectations.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience working in a B2B enterprise sales role within a SaaS or technology environment.
  • An in-depth knowledge of the Australian media monitoring and intelligence landscape.
  • Demonstrable success in sales/business development.
  • Experience selling SaaS or B2B software.
  • Strong phone-based and face-to-face sales experience.
  • Ability to engage and sell to all levels of seniority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A willingness to cold-call.
