Commercial Director

This role is pivotal in shaping the commercial future of a high-growth organization, reporting directly to the CEO and operating as a key member of the Executive Leadership Group.

The ideal candidate will have a sharp understanding of civil engineering and infrastructure markets paired with an innate confidence to influence executive decisions, drive diversification, and align new opportunities with operational capability and delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate strategic and emerging markets aligned to core capabilities.
  • Develop and execute market entry strategies backed by evidence-based analysis.
  • Lead high-trust client engagement, partnerships, and joint venture initiatives.
  • Drive diversification into growth sectors including Water, Energy, and Resources.
  • Provide commercial leadership in M&A, strategic investments, and business cases.

About You:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (essential).
  • Executive-level experience in business development, strategy, and commercial leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of the civil construction market across QLD, NSW, and nationally.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage credibly and authentically with clients, partners, and government stakeholders.
