Role Overview

We are seeking an Aboriginal Health Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality healthcare services to Indigenous individuals and communities. You will provide culturally sensitive care, health education, and advocacy to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide culturally sensitive care to Indigenous individuals and communities
  • Develop and implement health education programs to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being
  • Advocate for the health and well-being of Indigenous individuals and communities
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality healthcare services
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Certificate III or higher in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or equivalent
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner or eligible to obtain
  • Effective communication methods within an Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Health Practice Context
  • Demonstrated cultural knowledge and exercise cultural respect and safety at the individual and families' levels
  • Ability to write clear and precise English appropriate to resident's needs
  • Mature outlook with the ability to relate and converse with older people
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work both in a team and autonomously
  • Strong organisational and time management skills including the ability to establish priorities and plan work
  • Commitment to embrace, model and work within the core values of McLean Care Ltd
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Current Drivers Licence
