About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Aboriginal Health Practitioner to join our dedicated team at McLean Care. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to Indigenous individuals and communities.

Reporting to the iAgeHealth Manager, you will work collaboratively with our team to provide culturally sensitive care, health education, and advocacy to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and committed individual to make a meaningful difference in Indigenous health and wellbeing.

About You:

  • Certificate III or higher in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner or eligible to obtain.
  • Effective communication methods within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Context.
  • Demonstrated cultural knowledge and exercise cultural respect and safety at the individual and family levels.
  • Ability to write clear and precise English appropriate to resident needs.
  • Mature outlook with the ability to relate and converse with older people.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills including the ability to establish priorities and plan work.
  • Commitment to embrace, model and work within the core values of McLean Care Ltd.
  • Excellent computer literacy.
  • Current Driver's Licence.

Salary: The successful applicant can expect a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, plus superannuation, employee perks, and opportunities for professional development.
