At Singtel, we're shaping the future of satellite communications. We're looking for a talented Associate Director to lead our Defence Satellite Business Development efforts.

This role is a key part of our strategy to expand our presence in the Defence and Commonwealth satellite markets. As Associate Director, you'll be responsible for prospecting, proposal generation, and closure of new business opportunities within our Defence and wider Commonwealth satellite portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and developing the Defence Satellite strategic plan and wider Commonwealth engagement.
  • Prospecting, positioning, and closing new incremental Defence Business for Singtel Satellite.
  • Ensuring existing contractual obligations and revenue generation are underpinned and continuously evolved.
  • Ensuring Singtel Satellite retains its position as the primary Sovereign Satellite Solutions provider to The Commonwealth.
  • Nurturing and developing existing relationships within Defence & The Commonwealth as well as with internal peers.
  • Preparing and ensuring accurate forecasts, pipelines, and budgets are available.
  • Identifying and recommending areas for profitable and sustainable growth within their portfolio's capability to support Singtel Satellite's overall strategy and overall product life cycle management.

Requirements include:

  • Extensive years industry sales and/or business development experience.
  • Experience working with Defence or on Defence Accounts / BDM.
  • Experience in relationship/strategic selling - preferably in Satellite, Space environments.
  • Sound commercial and business acumen with experience in positioning value propositions to customers.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales growth through acquisition strategies and business development sales and customer loyalty through strong relationships.
  • A high level of general business acumen with the ability to communicate effectively at CTO, CIO, CFO, and CEO levels.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen (PR's unable to apply).
  • Already possesses NV1 or higher security classification or ability to obtain.
