Assistant Director, Program Integration and Delivery Assurance

Geoscience Australia is seeking an experienced Assistant Director, Program Integration and Delivery Assurance to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining delivery oversight and assurance across the Program.
Key Responsibilities- Actively manage services from external governance and independent advisors delivering fit for purpose Governance Framework, Independent Program Assurance and Probity Services.
- Coordinate and ensure Program compliance with and readiness for external oversight, including but not limited to the Australian National Audit Office, Digital Transformation Agency and the Department of Finance.
- Report on Program health and coordinate assurance (schedule, integration, interoperability and benefits) over GA's Landsat Next partnership projects and other internal and external Landsat Next-related initiatives.
- Maintain an integrated understanding of responsibilities of the organisation, incorporating an awareness of strategic relevance of the Landsat Next partnership to Australian Government policies and objectives and priorities.
- Support the Director, System Engineering and Coordination and contribute to the strategic planning of Satellite Land Imaging Collection branch and Landsat Next partnership objectives.
- Manage the Program's risk and benefit management function including alignment of practices to Geoscience's benefits management framework and the risk profile of the program.
- Experience in a broad range of Commonwealth program assurance activities.
- Have experience in contract managing external professional service providers.
- Have experience in coordination and/or participation in external assurance.
- A record of achievement in contributing to strategic planning, program and project support and coordination services, and the provision and presentation of trusted advice to senior management.
- Demonstrated skills of a Program Management Office (PMO) Assurance Officer.
- Ability to develop an extensive understanding of the role and responsibilities of the organisation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, strategic focus, and outstanding program management and assurance skills, alongside commitment and exceptional communication abilities.
- Experience with and/or qualifications in recognised program and project management frameworks such as MSP, PRINCE2, or PMBOK.
