Empowering Young People
The role of the CEO at our organisation is to lead 600 staff across 24 sites in NSW and the ACT, driving forward our mission to support families and keep children safe.
About Our OrganisationWe strive to support families to keep children and young people safe at home, ending child abuse and neglect. We help children and young people to recover and thrive, especially those who have experienced trauma.
We provide a range of services including family support and preservation, domestic and family violence support, counselling, transitional accommodation, parent education, youth support, foster care and open adoption.
We are committed to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Placement Principle, empowering First Nations children and young people, upholding their rights to be cared for within their own communities, and transferring care to, and strengthening relationships with Aboriginal community-controlled organisations.
Our work is underpinned by our strategic plan, with associated planning and implementation of key objectives. Our research and services aim to deliver significant impact, guided by our Theory of Change, which places domestic violence as one of the key threats to child safety and wellbeing.
The Leadership OpportunityThis leadership opportunity calls for a visionary leader to fearlessly advocate for the voice, rights, and needs of all Australian children, achieving our vision through campaigns, programs, and partnership and collaboration with the sector.
You will develop comprehensive plans that shape a bold, long-term vision to maximise organisational impact and reach, addressing the direct needs of vulnerable children and families.
You will guide the organisation through the shifting charity landscape, diversifying and increasing impact through philanthropy, policy and thought leadership, whilst navigating legislative constraints that impact the workforce and operations.
You will challenge systems, institutional and socio-economic inequalities faced by Indigenous children.
