Key Solicitor Role

The role is focused on providing legal representation and advice to victims/survivors of sexual assault and family violence, as well as advocating with police and other agencies on behalf of clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in criminal law advocacy and expertise in applications for victims support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent defendants in the Local Court with complex needs and varied case severity
  • Deliver community legal education and update legal resources for young people and youth services
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years' post-admission experience
  • Expertise in applications for victims support, criminal law advocacy, or both
  • Demonstrated capacity to work with clients who have high and complex needs

The successful candidate will have excellent file management and organisational skills, initiative, flexibility, and the ability to respond to unforeseen circumstances. They must also hold a NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
