We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our claims management team as a Technical Manager.
This critical role entails providing expert guidance on workers' compensation claims, interpreting complex legal language, and offering constructive feedback to improve compliance and case outcomes.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in claims management or statutory benefits systems and be well-versed in the Accident Compensation Act 1985 and associated regulations.
Responsibilities:- Provide authoritative advice on relevant legislation and guidelines related to workers' compensation claims
- Offer training and mentorship to case managers to ensure they are knowledgeable about current laws and best practices
- Interpret intricate legal terminology and help case managers understand how it applies to specific claims
- Review case files and provide actionable feedback to enhance compliance and case results
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation or industry guidelines that may impact claims management
- Assist with challenging cases by offering insights on legal implications and potential resolutions
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business and/or rehabilitation or health-related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in claims management or a statutory benefits system
- Strong working knowledge of the Accident Compensation Act 1985 and associated regulations
- Familiarity with the WorkSafe Victoria claims management model
