Operations Leader

Description:

We are looking for a seasoned Operations Leader to join our team. As an Operations Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of technical field operations employees, contractors, and First-In Maintainers (FIMs) in safely delivering high levels of reliability and improved services at lower cost.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate a team of technical field operations employees, contractors, and FIMs to safely maintain the Area's transmission systems and infrastructure.
  • Build organizational skills and capabilities to manage people, faults, and operations remotely.
  • Develop technical capability to respond to growth opportunities.
  • Work with the Central resource planning team to develop the planned maintenance plan.
  • Ensure the Area is adequately resourced, including a network of appropriately skilled and trained FIMs and contractors.
  • Train and skill teams in delivering operational requirements.
  • Schedule project work efficiently.
  • Lead change and manage performance.
  • Support the Service Management Centre (SMC) and the Area teams to ensure all service faults are restored promptly and response targets and contractual obligations are met.
  • Deliver excellent network coverage.
  • Resolve issues and proactively address operations challenges.
  • Perform maintenance activities in compliance with regulations and laws.
  • Partner with leaders and teams to improve operations, including standard processes, policies, and procedures.
