**Job Title:** Community Access Support Specialist

About this role:

We are seeking a Community Access Support Specialist to assist a client with accessing the community and attending appointments.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for engaging in meaningful conversations, encouraging new activities, and providing companionship and motivation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support client in accessing the community and attending appointments
  • Encourage social interaction and participation in activities
  • Transport client safely to and from destinations
  • Provide companionship and motivation
  • Maintain clear documentation and follow behavior support plans

About you:

We are looking for someone who has experience working with clients with mental health needs, a cheerful and friendly personality, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

You will be required to maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion at all times.

Requirements:
  • Cert III or Cert IV in Individual Support, Home & Community Care, Aged Care, Disability Care or higher or willingness to work towards
  • Current First aid and CPR qualification or willingness to obtain within three months
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • COVID-19 minimum 3 doses
  • Infection control training completed
  • Manual handling training completed
  • NDIS Clearance Check
  • Current and Valid Working with Children's Check
  • Current unrestricted and full driver's licence
  • Own a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
