Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Accessibility Specialist to contribute to enhancing the accessibility of public and private venues across Australia. This role will focus on specific locations such as Canberra, with responsibilities including building and expanding our web application by adding accessibility details for various places.
Your key tasks will involve gathering online information and photographs, evaluating their relevance, and creating draft listings for review and submission to venue owners. Additionally, you will assist in collecting ideas for activities that families and groups can enjoy together, thereby enriching the platform's offerings for leisure and outings.
This is a remote, home-based role requiring empathy and an understanding of the importance of inclusion. As an intern, you will receive guidance to complete your university placements with us, gaining valuable experience and skills. While this position is unpaid, there are opportunities to participate in business trips with expenses covered and to meet influential figures at conferences and meetings.
Responsibilities:
