The position of Health Safety and Environmental Advisor is crucial to the success of our project, as it involves ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

As a key member of our team, you will assist in the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. This includes conducting risk assessments, identifying hazards, and developing mitigation strategies.

Additionally, you will provide guidance on occupational health and safety regulations, as well as ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.

In this role, you will also be responsible for communicating with stakeholders, including employees, contractors, and clients, to ensure their health, safety, and environmental concerns are addressed.

Furthermore, you will conduct regular inspections and monitoring to identify potential hazards and take corrective actions to prevent incidents.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Conducting risk assessments and identifying hazards.
  • Developing mitigation strategies to prevent incidents.
  • Providing guidance on occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and standards.
  • Communicating with stakeholders to address their health, safety, and environmental concerns.
  • Conducting regular inspections and monitoring to identify potential hazards.

This position requires a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental principles and practices. You must also have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

A degree or graduate diploma in occupational health and safety or a related field is required, along with 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft software applications and ability to work respectfully in a diverse team environment are also essential.

This role involves exposure to changing environmental conditions, construction activities, and operational settings. You may be required to walk extensively, climb ladders, work at heights, and use personal fall arrest equipment.
