About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Operations Lead to spearhead our technical support function, ensuring seamless platform reliability and customer experience. This critical role is pivotal in Spacetalk's scale-up journey, empowering engineering teams to focus on rapid product innovation while maintaining exceptional service delivery.

This leadership position requires an expert with extensive knowledge of AWS services, cloud-native troubleshooting, and mobile app ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have experience in regulated industries and a proven track record of building or scaling technical support teams in global organisations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the investigation and resolution of complex production issues across our technology stack.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and escalation procedures for common and complex technical scenarios.
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of our AWS serverless architecture and perform root cause analysis on production incidents using AWS monitoring and logging services.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in technical support, platform operations, or site reliability engineering.
  • Strong expertise in AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, S3, OpenSearch, Redis/ValKey) and proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with mobile app ecosystems (iOS/Android) and understanding of mobile-specific technical challenges.

The successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, operational excellence, and the ability to build collaborative relationships across technical and non-technical teams.
