About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary technical professional to lead our Modern Manufacturing Workshop. As Lead Technical Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring safe, efficient, and innovative delivery of bespoke manufacturing solutions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and coordinate workshop operations, inductions, and equipment training.
  • Liaise with researchers, academics, and industry partners to scope and prioritise jobs.
  • Operate and program CNC and multi-axis lathes, as well as manual equipment.
  • Review and produce CAD technical drawings to support prototyping and research.
  • E nsure compliance with WHS standards, SOPs, and safe workshop practices.
  • Lead and mentor technical staff, while building collaborative relationships across the University and beyond.
