About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Content Strategist to join our team at the State Government of Victoria, Australia. As a key member of our Corporate Affairs Branch, you will be responsible for managing our website content and providing strategic communications advice to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a major audit and rewrite of website content, working closely with the Corporate Affairs team.
  • Develop and implement strategic communication and stakeholder engagement plans and activities to support change management and drive behavioural change and awareness.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to write, edit and proof website content and applications, ensuring it meets customer needs and is aligned with the tone and messaging standards.
  • Ensure all content is correctly uploaded and published in the Content Management System and collaborate with the Corporate Affairs Digital Team to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Ensure all activities meet communication and organisational objectives, adhere to style guides, and meet Whole of Victorian Government (WoVG), accessibility, discoverability, usability and quality requirements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience managing high-profile multi-channel program communication strategies, initiatives, and campaigns with a digital-first focus, on time and within budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to strategically plan, prioritise and achieve high standards of performance for strategic communications activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
  • Proven experience effectively managing marketing, communications, digital and stakeholder engagement and effectively managing reputational risks and issues, solving problems and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and a record of achievement in communications, managing contemporary communications, digital experiences and marketing strategies aligned with the organisation's objectives.
  • A tertiary qualification in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field.
