We are seeking a highly skilled Capacity Building and Community Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the capacity of Landcare member groups to achieve their strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will have t tertiary qualifications in business management or a related field, as well as proven experience in leading and managing small commercial or NFP organizations. They will also possess excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively with geographically dispersed teams.

The role requires the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and be a self-starter who can work independently. A strong sense of purpose and a strategic mindset are essential, as well as the ability to identify issues at a micro scale.

The Capacity Building and Community Development Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and assessing Local Priority Plans, ensuring day-to-day coordinator activities align with Program Outcomes, and flagging issues in a timely manner with Host Organisations. They will also build an online Health Check tool, work with the NSW Landcare Program manager and LNSW CEO to design member services, and support data collection via program reporting periods.

This is a 0.8 FTE part-time position with flexible working hours, offering a unique opportunity to work for a not-for-profit charity. The fixed days and hours per week are negotiable at the start of the employment contract.
