Capacity Building Officer for Landcare Community Growth

We are the representative body of the Landcare movement in NSW, driving community growth and development across the state.
Our Council represents around 60,000 Landcarers and 3000 groups, with a structure that enables skill-building, capacity strengthening, and connection at every level – from individual groups to district networks, regional associations, and the state peak body.
Landcare NSW acknowledges and respects Aboriginal People and Torres Strait Islander People as the original owners of the land, seas, and water. We recognize their continuing connection to the land and their deep knowledge of the natural environment.
A Brief HistoryIn 2007, a group of volunteers established Landcare NSW, recognizing the need for a unified voice to represent community Landcarers. Since then, we've held regular musters, bringing together Landcarers from across the state to share ideas and discuss issues.
Our vision is to protect, repair, regenerate, and change practice – and to learn, share, and connect. Landcarers work across diverse landscapes, including farmland, bushland, parkland, beaches, national parks, rivers, dunes, creeks, Crown land, public land, private land, forests, and travelling stock routes.
Collective action is at the heart of our success: Landcare groups organize projects, support volunteers, seek funding, and develop partnerships. We've transformed the landscape and are at the forefront of dealing with environmental, agricultural, and social challenges facing Australia.
