About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Partnering: Partner with stakeholders across multiple sites to provide advice on people-related matters, including employment relations, performance and conduct, people leadership, policies and procedures, change management, remuneration, and diversity and inclusion.
  • Enterprise Agreement Negotiations: Lead and support local enterprise agreement negotiations and foster productive union relationships.
  • Employment Relations: Support leaders in the management of employment relations matters, including conducting workplace investigations.
  • Culture Development: Coach, support, and influence leaders to develop and sustain a constructive culture.
  • Governance Initiatives: Support governance initiatives and assist to standardize and simplify people processes.
  • Talent Development: Understand the people needs in areas such as talent and organizational development, diversity and inclusion, performance management, and leadership development, and work with the broader P&P team to develop and execute strategic people initiatives.
  • Capability Building: Work with the L&D team to build capability of front-line leaders.
  • Process Implementation: Drive local implementation of people processes such as remuneration and performance reviews and talent and succession processes.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute positively to the wider P&P team, fostering open communication and actively seeking feedback.
  • Recruitment Support: Partner with key stakeholders for recruiting and ensure new hires have a positive and seamless experience.
  • Business Acumen: Develop an understanding of business priorities and connect them to people initiatives that support the business.
Requirements
  • Business Partnering Experience: Demonstrated business partnering experience within a large, complex operational environment, supporting a diverse, multi-site workforce.
  • Workplace Relations: Experience in the application of workplace relations legislation and frameworks.
  • Union Experience: Demonstrated experience working in a unionized environment, leading and assisting with negotiating Enterprise Agreements and building productive union relationships.
  • Relationship Building: The ability to build strong relationships, develop trust, and influence a variety of stakeholders.
  • HR Expertise: A high level of proficiency in advising on all aspects of the employee life cycle.
  • Process Development: The ability to develop, implement, and embed new processes, policies, and systems in a complex environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with high-level interpersonal and relationship management skills and strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Time Management: Highly effective time management and prioritization skills and the capacity to build and maintain positive relationships with remote stakeholders.
  • Education: Tertiary studies in a HR or business-related degree preferred.
