Senior Employment Lawyer Job Description

ClearCompany is seeking a skilled Senior Employment Lawyer to provide expert advice on employment law matters, including termination and dismissals, employment contracts, dispute resolution, discrimination and equal opportunity, enterprise bargaining, OH&S advice, restructuring, downsizing and outsourcing, and workplace policies and training.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert legal guidance on employment law matters
  • Manage and resolve employment disputes through negotiation or litigation
  • Draft and review employment contracts and policies to ensure compliance with Australian laws and regulations
  • Conduct employee investigations and disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Advise on enterprise bargaining and union issues, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Develop and implement workplace policies and training programs to promote a positive and inclusive work environment

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in employment law, preferably in a similar role at a leading law firm
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and regulations, including the Fair Work Act 2009
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a high level of organizational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software applications, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
