Insurance Claims Resolution Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Claims Resolution Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Personal Lines claims, analyzing first reports to determine the nature of loss and coverage provided, and assessing claims in accordance with Chubb's service level and quality requirements.
Your Responsibilities:- Manage a portfolio of claims for Personal Lines claims as allocated and analyze first report to determine nature of loss, coverage provided and scope of damage.
- Assess claims in accordance with Chubb's service level and quality requirements and the General Insurance Code of Practice. This includes determining coverage, reserving within timeframes, making payments, responding to customer queries, providing updates, and requesting additional information as needed to manage a claim.
- Communication by telephone and written correspondence to brokers, claimants and others as required.
- Promptly and properly document all developments on claim workstation file.
- Take part in Claim Department and companywide training as required.
- Seek technical assistance in handling claims exceeding delegated authority.
- Respond to enquiries and escalations of matters from underwriters, brokers and customers, and work with underwriters, the Compliance Department, and other departments of the company as needed.
- Proactively apply claims policies and procedures including Chubb's policy in relation fraud, salvage, cost containment and complaints.
- Exercise good judgement in reaching final disposition of claim by evaluating nature of loss, liability, damage, coverage provided and applicable limits.
- Effectively negotiate compromise settlements where appropriate.
- Participate in claims meetings with internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Effectively control the use, work product and expense of outside vendors.
- Tertiary qualified.
- Investigation techniques.

- Damage and/or loss evaluation.
