Job Title: Recreation And Activities Coordinator

This role is responsible for enhancing the well-being of participants in aged care and disability services by designing and delivering person-centred recreational and social activities.

The coordinator leads a team of activities officers, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, fostering participant engagement, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enrich the activity offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and deliver recreational and social activities that meet the diverse needs of participants.
  • Lead a team of activities officers to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Mentor and support staff in the coordination of activities.
  • Design and implement creative and engaging activities that meet the needs of participants.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two years' experience in coordinating or delivering recreational and social activities for individuals in aged care and/or disability services.
  • Certificate IV in recreation therapy, community services, aged care, or related field.
  • Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and NDIS principles.
  • Proven experience in managing, mentoring, and supporting staff in the coordination of activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Current Class C Driver Licence.
