About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity in the Upper Spencer Gulf for a Social Work Industry Facilitator to join the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work at Flinders University. This position supports the National Mental Health Pathways to Practice Pilot and involves overseeing and supervising student placements across the mental health sector.

The role includes providing innovative teaching to Social Work students and exploring new partnerships to build capacity for placements required by the University and sector.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and manage placement relationships.
  • Work with agencies in South Australia and the Northern Territory to identify challenges and develop solutions for placement and workforce development.
  • Contribute to planning, evaluation, and student placement assessments, acting as Topic Coordinator as needed.
About You

Applicants should have a PhD or relevant qualifications and professional experience in Social Work, with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers and at least five years of post-qualifying experience in the mental health sector.

Key capabilities include:

  • Extensive teaching experience and curriculum design at the tertiary level.
  • Experience with student engagement and online learning platforms.
