About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Destination Ambassador Supervisor. As a key member of our Visitor Services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality tourist information to visitors and supporting our volunteer Sydney Ambassadors through training, guidance, and knowledge sharing.

This role will involve working across various Visitor Service locations, including the City's Roaming Ambassador, Cruise Meet & Greet, and special event programs. You will be required to work a 7-day roster across operational hours, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that visitors receive accurate and helpful information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality customer service to visitors, responding to their queries and providing information about Sydney and its attractions.
  • Assist with the training and coordination of volunteer Ambassadors, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills required to provide excellent service.
  • Set up and manage the cruise meet & greet service and special events visitor service areas, ensuring they are well-organized and welcoming.
  • Act as a point of contact for volunteer Ambassadors, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with events and procedures, sharing information with visitors, colleagues, and volunteer Ambassadors.
  • Provide regular feedback to Ambassadors and the Visitor Services Coordinator, ensuring that service standards are met.
  • Contribute to various programs associated with the Visitor and Business economy, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.

About You

  • You have a strong geographical knowledge of Sydney, New South Wales, and its travel and tourism products.
  • You possess excellent customer service skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality service to visitors.
  • You have well-developed interpersonal and written skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • You are a clear and concise communicator, with the ability to provide accurate and helpful information to visitors.
  • You are a problem-solver, with the ability to think laterally and find creative solutions to challenges.
  • You are willing to work a 7-day roster, providing excellent service to visitors across operational hours.
