About the Role

As a Destination Ambassador Supervisor, you will provide high-quality and accurate tourist information to visitors of the city and offer shift support to volunteer Sydney Ambassadors through training, guidance, and knowledge sharing.

This position will work across Visitor Service locations, the City's Roaming Ambassador, Cruise Meet & Greet, and special event programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service with a courteous and professional manner when assisting visitors.
  • Assisting with the training and coordination of volunteer Ambassadors.
  • Setting up the cruise meet & greet service and special events visitor service areas.
  • Providing support to volunteer Ambassadors when on duty, ensuring correct information is given and WHS procedures are followed.
  • Staying up-to-date with events and procedures to share with visitors, colleagues, and volunteer Ambassadors.
  • Offering regular feedback to Ambassadors and Visitor Services Coordinator.
  • Supporting various programs associated with the Visitor and Business economy.

About You

  • Strong geographical knowledge of Sydney, New South Wales, travel, and tourism products and destinations.
  • Demonstrated customer/visitor focus and delivering high-quality service.
  • Demonstrated well-developed and effective interpersonal and written skills.
  • Demonstrated clear and concise verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and lateral thinking skills.
  • Ability to work a 7-day roster across the operational hours of Visitor Services, Cruise Meet & Greet, Roaming Ambassador program, special events, and programs associated with the Visitor and Business economy.
