Job Title: Help Desk Support Officer

We are looking for a skilled technician to join our team. As a Help Desk Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to staff and other stakeholders.

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and operating systems to staff and other stakeholders.
  • Resolve complex technical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Prioritize work considering management and staff needs, undertaking various tasks.
  • Communicate with staff and stakeholders from technical and non-technical backgrounds.
  • Commit to customer service and provide a quality service in corporate system environments.

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts or skills in new technologies.
  • Knowledge of current platform, hosting, and gateway technologies (e.g., VMWare, Citrix, Hyper-V, Azure).
  • Understanding of Internet technologies, communications protocols, network architecture, and supporting equipment.

Advantageous Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework certification.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure. They will also have strong communication skills and the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
