General Manager, Major Events

The primary objective of this role is to deliver exceptional results in major events with a strong focus on performance and revenue growth.

This involves leading project management teams, managing risks, budgeting, financial reporting, leadership, diplomacy, negotiation, relationship management, stakeholder engagement, government and corporate network development, interpersonal skills, ability to work in complex environments, direction provision, autonomy, pressure resilience, team development, and positive organisational culture.

Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality events, driving revenue growth through partnerships, fundraising, and philanthropy. The successful candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications, 10+ years' experience in major event management and/or commercial within sport and/or NFP industry, exceptional leadership skills, and alignment with our Vision and Mission.
