As a seasoned event strategist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing events that drive business results. About the Event Lead position:

You will work closely with the Events & Activations Manager to create an events strategy that enhances team, customer, and supplier engagement. This involves organizing, project managing, and executing corporate events across Australia and New Zealand, including trade expos and supplier events.

The successful candidate will have two direct reports and be responsible for delivering engaging events that support the business agenda of team, supplier, retail, and commercial customer engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and implementing event strategies

- Project managing events as directed by the Events & Activation Manager

- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external event management/agency providers

- Managing relationships with key internal stakeholders and agencies to ensure successful event execution

- Ensuring delivery of all activities in line with brand strategies

- Delivering projects on time and within budget, including scheduling and reporting

- Conducting tasks in accordance with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements:

- A tertiary degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferably)

- Minimum 5 years of experience in events management within a national corporate, retail business, or agency environment (exhibitions experience preferred)

- Leadership and team management experience, leading small teams in a similar environment

- Experience in event management software, preferably Events Air

- Ability to translate strategy into outcomes and manage multiple priorities

- Expertise in project management, stakeholder management, event logistics, and decision-making processes

- Strong focus on quality and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

- Experience and understanding of issues and crisis management processes

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines

- Expertise in agency management and developing mutually respectful partnerships with suppliers

- Proven ability to identify potential reputational risks
