Compliance Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Expert to drive a strong risk culture, oversee internal processes and procedures, and provide expert advice to the Executive Team.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong compliance knowledge across AML/CTF, AFSL, ACL, CAANZ etc.
  • Ability to provide training and support on risk & compliance matters
  • Excellent communication skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of legislative and regulatory changes that impact compliance obligations

This is a part-time role (24 hours per week) offering flexible work options and prioritising work-life balance. We encourage applications from experienced professionals looking for a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage compliance risks across the firm including AML / CTF, AFSL, ACL, CAANZ etc.
  2. Provide training and support on risk & compliance matters
  3. Monitor incidents, breaches and complaints, and embed controls in collaboration with the Executive Team
  4. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards
  5. Offer guidance on legislative and regulatory changes that impact the company's compliance obligations
  6. Review and approve marketing materials and other external communications to ensure legal and regulatory compliance
Requirements:
  • Tertiary degree qualifications in law, commerce, economics, finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Compliance-based position in the financial services industry
  • Experience with AML/CTF, AFSL and ACL licensing requirements, highly regarded
  • Experience with working with ASIC, highly regarded
