**WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING**
As the Risk Manager, you will be responsible for planning and strategy to deliver practical and fit for purpose risk management and business continuity programs. This position reports to the GM Risk, Governance and Assurance and plays a key role in uplifting the risk management culture through increased awareness, staff engagement and accountability.
You will:
- develop and deliver an annual risk management plan
- build appropriate risk management practices for a public entity
- enhance and mature risk management practices, methodology, systems and processes across the organisation
- partner with key stakeholders to identify, evaluate, manage, monitor and report risks that impact the delivery of our strategic programs and operations
- maintain and support the business continuity framework
- revise and refine organisational resilience capabilities to support the continued achievement of critical business functions and objectives in the event of a disruption
- develop a partnership plan and work with stakeholders to ensure distributed responsibility for compliance with established obligations and associated practices
- support stakeholders with implementing a reporting framework that provides guidance and informs business decision making
- conduct ongoing reviews and implement continuous improvements of the risk framework and system
- translate strategic priorities into operational reality by aligning internal resources and designing team objectives to ensure that strategic priorities yield measurable and sustainable results
- assist with other governance activities, as required.
**WHAT YOU'LL BRING**
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Risk Manager within a corporate services environment. You will enjoy engaging with stakeholders on all aspects of risk and have strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build and maintain relationships.
Your background will demonstrate your:
- experience in a similar senior risk role within a corporate services environment
- strong interpersonal skills with a focus on partnering alongside stakeholders to promote a positive risk culture
- excellent critical thinking skills
- exceptional writing skills, in particular reports, policy development and training programs
- ability to handle confidential information in a mature and professional manner
- resilience and ability to adapt to a dynamic operating environment
- proactive approach in identifying, raising and/or managing business improvement initiatives.
Ideally, you will be tertiary qualified in Business, Commerce, Corporate Governance or similar.
