
Palliative Care Support Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of End-of-Life Care Specialist at Bear Cottage.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality care and support to children with progressive, life-limiting illnesses and their families.
The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of paediatric palliative care principles and be familiar with the different areas where volunteers are required to assist.
Key Responsibilities:- Understand the principles of paediatric palliative care and the children's hospice setting.
- Recruit, manage, train, and supervise volunteers to ensure they have a clear understanding of the needs of Bear Cottage and the role of the volunteer in this setting.
- Develop and implement effective workplace training programs for volunteers.
- Proven organisation and time management skills to effectively coordinate volunteer activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with volunteers, staff, and families.
