Compassionate Speech Pathologist for Adults in Melbourne

About the RoleThis permanent part-time or full-time position is based in Mitcham and requires a passionate Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team. You will provide best practice, evidence-based speech pathology services to support adults with disabilities achieve their goals and live the life they choose.
Duties and Responsibilities- Deliver therapy sessions in clients' homes, educational settings, or in the community, focusing on supporting clients to achieve their objectives.
- Develop and implement personalized plans to address communication skills, mealtime safety, and overall health and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and psychologists as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Provide indirect client service and family coordination to support client goals.
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to engage people with disabilities, motivate them, and build their capability.
- Ability to work in partnership with adults with disabilities to set and achieve goals.
- Experience working within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model.
- Current membership with SPA.
- A willingness to improve on your clinical practice, including self-reflection and focus on developing clinical skills in areas you're not familiar with.
- Competency in a variety of IT platforms, particularly client management systems.
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- An Australian driver's licence and own vehicle, and a willingness to travel across the Eastern region of Melbourne as required.
- A competitive salary range of $85,380.74 - $104,551.89 (dependent on experience) + superannuation + salary packaging.
