About the Role

This is a key leadership position that will play a critical role in driving the success of HVO's human resources function. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and policies that support the achievement of HVO's business objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of end-to-end HR processes, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, leadership development, and site-based payroll activities.
  • Lead HR projects with exceptional attention to detail and stakeholder engagement.
  • Champion employee engagement, culture, and wellbeing.
  • Support organizational effectiveness solutions and initiatives that contribute to building a high-performance culture.
  • Provide accurate and timely people management advice to ensure compliance with company and legislative requirements.
  • Coach and mentor leaders in performance management, disciplinary procedures, and grievance resolution.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to the HR team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a HR Manager role with a comprehensive knowledge of HR-related functions, including leadership development, culture, performance management, and recruitment.
  • Ability to build trust with the team, adapt to changing circumstances, and operate with integrity.
  • Passion for leading teams, holding oneself and others accountable, and coaching and developing team members.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal employment legislation.
  • Ability to thrive in a continuous improvement culture with resilience around change.
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality HR outcomes in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal influencing, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Ability to empower and delegate to the team.
  • Demonstrated experience using Workday/SAP or other HRIS system experience.
  • Relevant degree/qualification in HR or other relevant qualification or related experience.
